Ilha do Sal: Santa Maria. Its bay is perfect for relaxing on the sand (length of the beach: 7 km) as well as diving, fishing, surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Palmeira. Originally it was a fishing village , nowadays is a quaint harbour.
Buracona. It’s a deep water lagoon famed for fishing and diving. During winter the swell ad undertow can be very strong.
Pedra de Lume. The oldest village on Sal Island. The famous saline is located in the crater of an old volcano and accessed via an artificial tunnel.
Activities and sports: boat fishing, land fishing, diving, surf, kite e windsurf.
Food: Catchupa. Typical Capeverdian plate, it’ a slow boiled stew of hominy corn, beans, manioca, vegetables, spice, pork or tuna. The fish is the king of capeverdian cuisine: yellowfin tuna, wahoo, dolphin fish and garopa.”.

· Currency: official Escudo (ECV) exchange rate with Euro 110.265 payment in Euro accepted almost everywhere.

· Clothes: light and casual. Reccomended something warmer from november to april (especially for evenings and nights)
